The Future of F.M. Law Park

The Houston Golf Association celebrated a landmark day on June 25, honoring 80 years of service to the Houston community while breaking ground on the future Chevron Center for Education and Golf at F.M. Law Park.

Joined by community leaders, supporters and partners, HGA officially launched the $2.5 million facility, which will expand opportunities for thousands of young people served annually through First Tee – Greater Houston programs, school partnerships, community outreach initiatives and tournaments. Named in recognition of Chevron's generous $1 million lead gift, the center will serve as a hub for education, mentorship and youth development.

The groundbreaking program featured remarks from HGA President & CEO Claire Bey; youth golf advocate Julie Wirth; HGA Board Member and Chevron executive Gaynor Shirreffs; Council Member Joaquin Martinez; HGA Vice Chair Pat Booker; and HGA Board Chair and Capital Campaign Chair Rob Chisholm.

The project marks an exciting step in HGA's vision for F.M. Law Park and its continued commitment to using golf to positively impact future generations across Greater Houston.
