Care for the Course Dates Released

For juniors looking to qualify for the SHO Pro-Junior or perhaps spend a morning outside giving back to the game, HGA's Care for the Course dates have been released.

Juniors will have three courses to choose from spread across the Houston area. The Care for the Course dates and locations are: Memorial Park Golf Course (Jan 7), Wildcat Golf Club (Jan 21) and Redstone Golf Club (Feb 4).

(Juniors who participated in HGA Junior Golf in 2011 may register under the HGA Jr Golf Players Club on the HGA homepage. Once you've entered your ID and Password, click on the General Seminar tab to choose a Care for the Course Day)
Each Care for the Course will begin at 7:30 a.m. and run until 9:30 a.m. Participants will be given the responsibility of filling divots, repairing ball marks on the greens and picking up loose debris on the golf course. Parents must remain at the location for the duration of the event.
Care for the Course is one of three steps juniors must complete to be eligible for the SHO Pro-Junior. To qualify juniors must complete one Care for the Course Day, compete and finish six rounds of HGA Junior Golf and act asa Guest Mentor of at least one The First Tee of Greater Houston class.
