SCHOLARSHIP  

The HGA Friends of Junior Golf Program is the fundraising mechanism that has allowed the HGA to award more than $430,000 in collegiate scholarships to deserving local youth. These scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and financial need, not on golf ability.  Recipients of this scholarship will receive $20,000 over the length of the scholarship ($2,500 per semester).  Currently the HGA is providing assistance to nine college students (see below).

The First Tee of Houston/Redstone is dedicated to impacting the lives of young people in the Greater Houston area by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character-development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.
