Mission Statement – The Friends of Junior Golf Program through the Houston golf association seeks to instill personal integrity, honesty and self esteem through the game of golf.
HGA’s Commitment – The HGA Board of Directors has recognized the growth and importance of the Junior Golf Program to the community. The Board has appointed a special committee comprised of HGA members to establish goals and objectives for junior golf activities and develop criteria along with procedures for awarding scholarships to qualified candidates. The HGA is also committed to providing funding for the various activities which constitute the current program. Additionally the Board is also committed to providing staff and administrative support to the Junior Golf Program.
Friends of Junior Golf – The Junior Golf Program is supported by over 40 Southern Texas PGA professionals and their Golf Courses in and around the Houston Area. Companies like Houston Coca-Cola, Fidelity Investments, Hewlett-Packard, KG Promotional Products, Callaway Golf Pre-Owned, Kingwood Men’s Golf Association, Shell Houston Open, South Texas Golf Course Superintendents Association, and The Eddie Burke Sr. Memorial foundation are generous in their support
How you can help? - To support the Junior Golf Program you can offer your financial assistance for our Scholarship Program. You can become a lifetime Patron of Junior Golf by contributing a one time donation of $750.00. This will allow you to be recognized on permanent signage at the Shell Houston Open, on www.hga.org/juniorgolf and other appropriate HGA Publications. In addition a Patron of Junior Golf will receive a logoed golf shirt.
